Might be fine, might not be!

You're a clever boy Tiff, communicate with them as much as possible and make your judgements then. I've done things like that before and it has paid off, scammers are usually quite obvious.

Then again I spent a lot of money with a shop in the US that have been described as "con men" and previous customers have advised everyone to "stay away at all costs". Still waiting for the thing to arrive as well

I know how to do it to someone bidding on your item if you are the seller..

Not sure if there is another way though. At the very least you will have to bid on the watch before you can get their details.

you say the guy has one feedback?
look at it and see wether he was buyer or seller, if he was seller to that one feedback check with the person who bought the item of him.
if the guy whos bought something off him has only 1 feedback it dosent look too gud.
proberly makes no sense
be careful tho mate, but saying that every1 starts at zero!!

Theres always risk with such things. Where is the item selling from ?? If its in a developing country for want of a better description, I would be very very cautious.

Even Paypal isnt totally without risk, some people hate them.

Ask to meet him in a motorway service station car park

Them places are always full of watch salesmen. And if you dont buy it he will do you a nice leather coat which was the last one at the show and he cant take it back to his boss

Do your homework and you will avoid the scammers.

I think, that if I was going to scam someone, I would make damn sure that the feedback was newer than 12 months ago...

My Tag cost me 30% of the new price this time last year on E-Bay, 6 months old, genuine, not 'ookey! Bargains are out there this time of year... People need £££.

If its been removed like that, then it was more than likely a scam.
