Default Please help , 2.8 cologne power loss???

Can anyone offer some advice please?
My 2.8 capri has been sat up for around 18mths and now its back on the road its feeling flat as a fart and feels like is bogging down all the time. I've done a general service which included plugs, leads, dizzy cap , rotor arm and new filters throughout , I drained the old fuel and filled it up also adding some fuel system cleaner at the same time. The ingition timing has been checked and set.

When i start it, it will cut out straight away so i have to rev the engine so it wont cut out but once revved then i can leave it to idle. The car has no thermostat in it from what i can tell as the blowers never get hot when driving and the temp gauge struggles to get off its bottom resting point. If its left to idle for a long time until its nice and hot its feels more powerfull but not for long as it cools quickly when driving again.
Any help would be great as its pissing me right off atm. lol
Cheers.

bores have got a little rusted up and the cunt has fucked it's rings, also check the mo fo boat anker is opening it's valves fully, cam shafts wear big time of a lay of for a long time.

else rip the cunt out and put a 24v in, you will wet your self with pleasure.

id agree with putting a 24v in it lol.
but the choke ideas sounds like a pretty sound guess. is it idealing high??
take the plugss out and have a look what colour they are.
if there really black and coke'd up then its rich, white lean, u know the deal.
if the chokes stickin on run it up the road and the plugs will go black
