Business as usual on PF then!

Site running rubbish....

Claims of DNS attacks...

IB/Stu know way better than anyone, then post a patronising post saying anybody who has commented has no knowledge of IT

Nothing changes

IB still rake in the ŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁŁ

Happy new year

I read this post being that Paul was trying to work out if the problem was him or not, then I guess if he worked out it wasnt him, it would THEN be the time to formally complain about it, rather than potentially complain only for there to be nothing wrong and it to turn out it was his PC or broadband or whatever at fault.

Seemed perfectly reasonable to me.

I think the reply from Stu was an automated reply as im sure i have heard it before

You are infact correct i was trying to find out if i needed to get a new piece of string for my broadband connection or if others had the same problem

Posting problems in the correct section would obviously be correct ONCE we have established there is a fault , Having said that Stu know knows so no need to popst in there

If you dont actually tell us that we have problems we will never know... However, since I have by chance spotted this one, let me give you some insight...

As many of you will know, we have been suffering a DDOS attack from a malicious third party trying to take down IB's network for some weeks now and while our network is setup to handle very substantial traffic (it deals with over 50 million visitors and 650 million page views each month), as has been seen by other large internet sites (Twitter, Facebook, Google et. al.) such a large scale attack will cause connection difficulties regardless of what some IT trained members on here would have you believe...

In this we were no different, and it wasn’t until sometime early this month that we where able to implement a successful resolution to the issue. We spent a significant amount of time with our service providers to identify solutions to help mitigate this attack and have put in place a very significant amount of hardware to filter out the traffic. Whilst also improving our Firewall bandwidth and installing other hardware had to take all the sites down a couple of times over the last week to finalise one or two of the upgrades on the servers.

For security purposes, we have been instructed not to provide more in-depth information beyond this but please rest assured that our databases were never impacted and that no information was breached.

As part of the implementation of the resolution you may have encountered some issues with the site and its functionality, we are working through each of those items, and if you come across an issue, if you could please post it in the correct forum to ensure that we have seen it, it would be appreciated.

We have been and continue to work around the clock until all the issues are resolved, our apologies for the inconvenience.
Same old same old. If the problems continue I will be putting a paypal claim in to get my membership back, and would suggest that others do the same. Why has this post not been moved to the correct forum then? As you have clearly seen it. End of the day, IB are making money here, and so are you, so it does need sorting. Never known a site this size, or indeed far smaller have these issues, and as I said before, we pay to use it!

Afternoon Jason,

Stu wishes some of you would at least post in the forum that he and other members of IB webteam actually check in for problems. https://passionford.com/forum/passio...d-problems-50/

They have been and continue to work around the clock until all the issues are resolved, they apologise for the inconvenience.
