Well my PS3's dead, looked on google etc, and apparently it's yellow got the yellow flashing light of death or something
Anyone had ago of fixing it themself with a heatgun?
Im going to give it ago tomorrow...
2 of mine have both done the same thing , sony replaced both of them out of warrenty free of charge, they sent me my 60gb one back,i sold it for Ł200 and got the slim
Dave how far out of warrenty was yours? I've had mine for like two year or something now.
It doesn't look that complicated does it? But I know for a fact something will go seriously wrong, like blow up or something
4 months mate, but just lie like i did. i told them i got it from choices which have gone bust and couldnt find proof of sale lol they did want Ł90 to repair it till i kicked off down the phone. then a manager rang me back saying sorry etc, the next day a new one was on my doorstep
Don't worry about it as it seems to happen more with these modern consoles compared to the games units of yesteryear like Megadrive, Snes etc. If you enjoy your PS3 and have had a lot of use out of it then just take on the chin get it replaced or buy another.
BUT...PMSL.......And all you PS3 boys have for ammunition on the old "Xbox v's PS3" debate is that the xbox gets the ring of death.....
Haha, the RROD is the main source of ammo I agree... however, there is also the BluRay Ability, Free Wireless, Free Online etc that can be used as back up ammo.
once fixed they will go again,as did the 360 -works to sell it thats about it.......
look on e bay how many are sold as faulty/this will give you an indication-few also getting sold as repaired and 'WORKING ' BUT ONLY CONSUL-LOL.
