I have spent a few quid....I don't think I am that far behind Tony's figure but I haven't done my accounts for the car on purpose cos I would probably get a little depressed!

I have just spent another 1k today....

FPMSL @ Lee, Tonys is unique, thats what £25K has got him, (not just a flash dash )

Lets hope he doesnt break it before people get a close look at the time, effort, money and the uniqueness that has gone into his RST

i think it would fetch more than just "RST money" if a owner was looking for the sort of restored and modified RST that tony has, but yes it wouldnt fetch the money he has spent on it and it is worth more in bits than as a whole car

Well i think most of us can say that in some respect. I wouldnt get what ive spent on mine and so far thats fook all. I just dont see where 25 k is. Im not saying he aint spent it...Tony is sound and if he says he has.....then he has.
Suppose its all down to individuality. I spent a total of 7k on my last s2, that i sold for 2k to my mate, that was bad enough lol so 25k

Lee has a point Andy, which you answered very well
But at the end of the day its Tonys car and obviously his love as he has put so much time and effort into it will never be worth anywhere near as much as he has spent but I really do take my hat off to him for what he has done

P.S- no offence meant to anyone, just my opinion

I have spent that much on the car I can never sell it unless it was in bits. Even then I don't think I will get back what I have spent on it!

He definatly has spent £25K

When you look at a spec list like :

complete shell resto
respray in custom colour paint
£1200 for 100's of NEW parts from ford went on the car when being put back together.
everything was powder coated
wheels powder coated to colour of custom paint colour

complete new 1.6 steel cvh
omex fitted and mapped
£1600 worth of gauges
£1200 worth of AP brakes
AP paddle clutch
Bernie stg2 box with Quaife diff

Thats just the bits and prices i can remember Tony buying for the car. There has been LOTS more than that

Hi
My 600bhp conversion + Direct Port Nitrous + Triple plate Hydraulic clutch +Zoo beam & Jag Diff+ New prop/Shafts + Autronics/CDI + loads more odds & sods cost me 27K, I sold 6K worth of bits so 21K since Nov 2003. I need to spend circa 2K to finish it off this Month.
To me this a cheap way to have a achieved my goal, first Cossie to 200 & perhaps 205 sooner than you think .
