Default *** what aftermarket management ***

iv got a frst. iam in the procsess of putting in a american 1.9 bottom end. when i get it back up and running iam expecting 250bhp, maybe abit more. but ive got biegies from before and they have a limit of 210bhp, so i was thinking off getting aftermarket mangament and different injectors, but dont really no my options.
i no all about loom changes ofac (which mine is) to ofab. and cossie management but no want these.
ive heard SECS S8 management kit. but dont no any info about it, ie how much where from.
can anybody recommend an aftermarket management and some info about them

i would say a good choice is DTA, the SECS ecu is a good ecu and been proved aswell

DTA is a good ecu too but a tiny bit more money

radders mate, not being funny BUT he has in the past had some bad luck

NON OF THIS IS ABOUT THE STUFF HE SELLS THOUGH, HIS PRODUCTS ARE GOOD IF YA CAN GET EM

just hes the one thats letting himself down , forget the situation with gus, think about the replies

think simon lacks motivation to kick his own arse into gear ( again nothing to do with gus's situation )

BUT im sure simon can sort the situation out and i will rethink my feelings about being proud to have a fellow board members and ford fan's genius on my car as i know his products are the tits

ok can we have the teccy reasons why what ecu is better than others please as i find thats less confusing tbh

could i use say a DTA ecu on my car would it be any faster than a SECS/emerald, autronic ecu on the same car/engine

as if not then surely the extra price for the pectel's ect are of no use to me in a 2.1 16v engined rst

so how can anyone say a ecu is better

wouldnt it be better to fin who ya getting to map the car and fit a ecu he belives is the best option as he needs to have experience on what hes mapping

ok a live map is rewriting the cars ecu chip . abit like a chiped ecu but a custom one to the car so that the car runs to its maxium performance as a chip is designed to be safe on all cars, live mapping will get every last safe bit of power ect out the car

if ya buy a aftermarket ecu ya will HAVE to get it live mapped as there will be no chip on the ecu to make it run

hope that explains oh and kenny at msd is a wizz with fezzy turbo management

he even managed to make jims car work

serious mate for the specyou have et a live map at MSD and i promise ya wont me sorry #

as for aftermarket ecu's ya should always use what the guy whos mapping it recomends to avoid any problems that might arise

MSD is in blackpool ( so a wicked excuse for a weekend out on the piss with the boys )

oh and yes MSD is the palce i took my cossie when i was having issues with it,

its a shame the problem was my driving

stu and kenny at MSD are the boys for all things like that and kenny is the man for the frst management, but then ya could ask stu himslef as hes the admin for the site aswell

brom as hes got a fezzy turbo i was thinking that the efi off it would be ok

im sure mike gurney had fezzy turbo management on his car until recently

also has the coil pack required for the 16v zetec engine too

but going for after market i would recomemend DTA as there price very hard to beat ( well untill the secs efi plug and play ecu is out then deffo speak to simon )
