lol i bought a very similar one to break, think the lad said he killed the original engine and fancied some cheap running costs with the RS looks so fired a TD in it

The best bit of the whole advertisement is where he says its got a dump valve and "this car sounds awesome" i would put a fair sum of money on the fact a td engine wont sound awesome!!!

Saw the same thing done to an escort cab a few years ago...it was running an RS turbo CVH but the owner decided a non-turbo diesel would be better

Well iv been thinking of building a second car, using a mk4 combi van fitting a diesel lump, as cheap on fuel and as some will agree, diesel can be tuned very well!
Well I say using that engine in a vague way, as ford make an engine called the Puma which come in the form od 2.0,2.2 and 2.4 which goes in to lots for things from the mondeo, trannies and jags and land rovers, my idea will use the 2.2 hybrid block from the land rover and the 2.2 jag twin turbo head.

if the rs2000 in question was a minter, it wouldn't be great to diesel, but if its only average condition and the engine let go a diesel aint that bad a conversion imo

Doesn't look too bad. As you say, different, but wouldn't be my choice of conversion..

It was over in Lancaster...it was a mk4, 90 spec RS turbo bits in white. Looked great, sounded like a tractor and went like one too...
