Which camera? advice. update camera bought!
I have always wanted a nice camera, for a few years ive used my N95 8gb. I find its bloody great for a phone/camera and to be honest thats the only reason i still use it is because the camera is so good.
Either way im after a camera. i'll tell you what im after and you can tell me what you have or recomend.
SLR or that type..
prefer not to use AA style batteries, if it could be a like a phone, plug in to charge thats better but not essential..
6megapixel +..
Choice of lenses would be nice, frog eye, zoom lenses that kinda thing..
Budget £100-250.
so let me know what you use or would recomend cheers Ric.

My bro got a brand new Nikon D50 off ebay, with 18-55mm lens, for £225. Honestly, an awesome camera, even I take good pictures with it, and I can take pics to save my life normally

just been looking at that, thought the more megapixel the better the quality but it seems the 10+megapixel cameras are better for upscaleing pics and keeping the quality, so really i suppose i dont need to go that high so yeah a good 6mp+ camera will be fine.
You realise pixels aren't everything? The most important part is the quality of the lens and components inside the camera, which nikon does well. Which is why even at 'only' 6.1megapixels it's still going to knock socks off these compact 10megapixel things.
slrs just dont require the same amount of pixels.
I have a canon d30 and a Canon g7 10 megapixel and the slr pictures are much better (not that i know what the megapixels are lol)
i also find the dslr pictures are have more feeling in them if thats possible. Sometimes you can just have to many mega pixels for some pictures.
car pictures look better on the 10+ and the kids look better on the dslr if you get me.

as said please dont count pixels,
pixels really sells cameras, how many pixels do we print at?
the sensors in slr type cameras are alot bigger than they are in compacts, this means each pixel can be alot bigger! this means they can be made with greater accuracy!
have you ever noticed that you can always tell when a photo is taken with a camera phone? this is because they have small sensors and generally create alot of noise!
