I got the same prob at the moment with my boy's PS3. He's had it a year now and was able to get on line no bother until about 4 months ago.

Now the PS3 dont want to know, and it will not recognise our WEP code anymore

Your isp and router make/model would help us to help you.

Your wep code is your password to the router which depending on isp/router is either stickered on your router or you need to go to your router admin page via http and can change/find out password from there.

Fuck me boy's it's not rocket science. Download the manual for your router and it will tell you hot to access it. Usually by opening internet explorer and engtering http://192.168.1.1 or 1.0 and the user or admin and the password of either admin or password, click on the wireless section and it will show your wireless security options. If that don't work there will be a small pin hole near the ac adapter socket, push a paperclip in there for a few seconds and it will reset it to default and start again.

Is your PS3 finding the router?

You must use capitals if they are capitals on the WEP key. i.e. FUAK011 will work fuak011 will not... (I think )

My router is in the living room & ps3 upstairs so hard wiring it isnt a option , could be the capital letter thing that ws the problem

also, I highlight the WEP code and then copy and paste it into a word document etc.. You have to make sure that you can read the full WEP code, copy and pasting the whole lot makes life a lot easier to see.

You'll have to have the pc or laptop hard wired into the router to access it, and then find the wep keys for it.
