Default constant 10 volts on side lights

I have found that the front and rear side lights of my g/fs mini have a constant 10 volts going to them.
This is increased to 12 when you turn the switch.
The 10V is not enough to quite light the bulb but if you leave the car for a few days then it will not start (but does straight away when you rjump start it) and im guessing this is the fault that is draining the power over a period of time.

I suspected the indicator stalk as that would be common to all lights but this looks more like it controls a relay and even with the stalk disconnected there is still the 10V at the bulb.

There are 2 50A fuses that appear to each fuse the lights for one side of the car.
With both of these removed it droppes the voltage to around 5V.

Does anyone know if there are some relays some where that control the lights? and if so where i could find them.

Or any other thoughts on what may be causing it.

Have you pulled the fusebox off and looked behind it to see if its all corroded, common problem on those cars.

both but the bay one tends to corrode worse than the other.

not sure it would cause that problem, but its worth checking anyway

thats the same way i noticed!
put the other bulbs back in and they dont light up but when i checked the voltage on the plug there is still 10V

guessing that is still drawing a bit off the battery over night
