Im looking some advice about rat control.

Basically about a month or so ago in my mates workshop there was a open bag of chicken food pellets which attracted a rat inside, we tried a normal trap but it kept setting it off without getting caught.

So we got one of teh cage traps that you put a small amount of food on, ie a slice of bacon and when the rat pulls on it it, the door closes behind it. That did the trick and we caugtht the rat.

We re-set the trap and there was nothing for a few weeks but now it has caught another rat this morning.

The question is, is it best to keep re setting that trap incase there is another rat in the workshop or is the small amount of food on the trap possibly attracting another rat from outside into the workshop?

can you contact the council who will come out and put bait down, I had to do this and it cost around £50, but we have had no more rats about since

 

get an air rifle & shoot em

 

we had a infestation when i worked at peugeot nearly 10 years ago, i remember going out the back every lunch break with a shovel and killing about 10-20 a time it was fun,
id try get hold of the poisen traps and keep a hammer at the ready
