i think i may have to go and get my speedo vid and post it AGAIN lol
i got no valve cut out in my pistons to take bd14 that was a mistake on my part not having them michined in when the engine was in bits

Firstly WHY is 400 bhp so neccesary to you?? are you number chasing??

I,d go for a T34.48/55 i had a T34.48 on my old 3dr, Greys live map and tbh it was imo the PERFECT lag free, punchy setup going, live mapped peaking @ 32psi holding 28psi believe me, they,ll not be TOO much on the road that should bother you.....

Don,t get caught up in number chasing...................

you wont get a .48 to hold 28 to the limiter unless your engine is poor imo

to be honest i think it is number chasing why change the car from standard in the first place ? it made good power out the box , but then we all get caught up with wanting that little bit more .
but like i said i'm not looking for 400+ i'm just looking for around 400.
dont get me wrong the car is nice now when it comes on boost and a lot of fun

it doesnt have to cost the earth though, 450 bhp in a cossie is as far as you can go imo without burning money.
ive always said im gonna have 600 bhp ive just had to get another car to get it lol

Fair point i guess, but i go on drivability and having being in many T34.63 cars i just liked the feel and delivery better of my T34.48 car...

My T38 Saff was horrid how it delivered power, now my GT30 Evo was completely different again...

I,d personally opt for a T34.48 everytime now on my cossie, just a great road conversion imo..

Other people will agree/dis-agree, that,s life...........Lol..

small turbo cossies are awesome mate very punchy and easy to drive. i even ran greens and an xspower t04e .63 exhaust housing and that was preety good at 22 psi.
if you want mid way power range id deffo go t34.55 or the smaller gt30 option.

but not good for daily road use really lol

I guess aswell guys it,s all about traction issues too..

I mena you look @ some of the Evos running GT30s, there 30-130 times are mid 11s alot of them because of no wheel spin etc...

Planting your foot in a rwd cossie with 450-500 bhp with similar torque in 2nd/3rd is going to be FUN TO SAY THE LEAST...

GGR 287 Stage 2 Unit - Larger compressor and turbine assemblies with 360° thrust bearing .

Ok so you bolt this t34 .48 and some 55s on your fresh motor (and other bits). You are NEARLY at 400hp (at the flywheel).

So what does that translate to in performance numbers on a 2wd? 0-60 in 3.6 seconds? 170mph I assume.

I take it the 287 means the BHP of the conversion?? excuse my ignorance but i,ve never used GG so i,m just guessing.

My 3dr is running a Turbo Technics stage 2 T3 with 360 Thrust bearing, very punchy turbo ,BUT will die and explode @ around 320-330bhp max, it,s running 27psi peak on the live map, again it,s right on it,s LIMIT at this but that,s how i wanted the car, yes suicidle i know, BUT IF and when it does die i,ll go for a T34.48...

from my experience a genuine 170 mph will be a long drawn out affair with a t34 160 mph and it will be on its knees.

I used to drag my gsxr1000. I am quite good with the throttle and clutch. Anything under 4 I'd be happy with.

With the right rubber and alignment it's a big help.

Crap road tires and some saggy old beam and you will not be doing much under 5. Zero'd back end, 6 degree beam, some semi slick road tires. Actually tire size (diameter) would be quite critical.

On a ford speedo easily, I was quoting GPS figures
It did 170mph in less than a mile at RAF Woodbridge when we ran it there, and it did 150mph in half a mile, so I reckon 1.5 miles and it would nail 180 pretty easily as it was still pulling hard on the 170mph run

There are too many police or too many corners here. We don't have any airfields to go play at. No real chance at the big top speed runs unless I drive down to Bonneville.

Maybe I need MSD to sponsor me on a Bonneville speed run.
