hello chaps

sorry i know its a ford forum etc, but i know alot of you have the jap cars etc and scoobys etc so thought may get the answer i need as iam not getting it elsewhere

anyways ive not long bought a scooby sport (non turbo) for my daily etc its all decatted though and having problems finding the 2 cats that it has on there as standard etc eg before the cat back, pre cat and actual cat etc and i respect it has 2 as standard and noting i only got 1 lambda sensor etc

i dont also dont know as standard what the cpsi's are on them

so ....

i have booked in to have fitted a new 400 CPSI Cat and my question is come mot time next year etc will this ONE cat be fine and deemed up to the job of the orig two cats if that makes sense.

As we know by law a cat must be present on cars etc for mot blah blah blah

iam sure you see my clarification and needing your feedback.

Not 100% if one cat will do the job, however, I once had the exhaust cut, and a custom section made up that sat where the cat would, this could easily and quickly be unbolted and the cat bolted back in for the mot's and then switched back.

Cost me £50 to get made up at a local exhaust place that did stainless steel exhausts.

just as an fyi, iam not looking to run a decat to be honest, iam still trying to do some research into this cpsi etc and see whats issued as standard
