Default Does anyone know this car.....advice on buying......

Its in the back of this months performance ford and Rallye news Escort monte mallard green 55,000 miles it says Gloucester but I think it is more Tewkesbury by the phone number can you have a quick look and see if it sounds the right money for the spec, I am only day dreaming at the moment I dont want to mess people about but I need to go and start looking at cars to see what i could likely end up with either a really good saphire or a Escort cossie which would break me but it might be worth it.

the only requirements really is that it need to be able to do 100 miles a day as i need it for work what do you lot think....?

Thanks

Si

do you honestly like mallard green? i think its the worst colour for a escos, just doesnt suit it,

also shows up every little mark etc

is t just me being weird? or does everyone else share the same view?

Never really liked green cars untill i stood next to a Mallard green Monte at the NE of scotland RSOC regional day a few years back. Sun was shining (not normal i know) and got to say it looked stunning. Was sure there was a hint of purple in the paint certain ways you looked at it. Got to say its up there at the top with regards to the Escort colours. Id buy one

if your doing that many miles a late 4x4 saff might be a better choice,,,,

but an escos is the daddy......................

thats the choice i had to make, i went for the saff in the end, as we have 2 young kids.

out of all the colours for an escort cossie, mallard is the only one that has a pearl flip to it and it changes colours in the sun, ranges from blue to purple, looks beautiful IMO................but i'm biased

the two cars are the same really to run, just that the saff has 4 doors and is a lot better with kids etc....bigger boot in the saff too.

If you can get the escort though, funds allowing, then get it.

A good car will do it, but I think you'll get sick of putting petrol in.....

i think mallard green does look shit hot on the cossies! but aubergine is the best IMO!

and if you going to do 100 miles a day i can think of cars a lot better suited for it than an escos. how about buying the monte and a cheap run about??
