Hi all,

As per title, my phone is due for a free upgrade so was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of what you think is a decent one from your experience.

I'd like maybe one with the new touch screen technology, decent camera and good screen. I'm on Samsung now and like them alot, so any ideas?

On my orange account I can see which I'm allowed, and at the minute like the look of the Samsung S5600 Black & Nokia 5800.

Just wondered if anyone on here has any info on a good model

sony ericsson W995 i love it. never had a problem with S.E

OR go for iPhone there just the bollox!

been told by a few phone places that a lot of samsungs have had problems from crap batteries to bad software. my tocco was fine but tocco ultra and pixon didnt worked to bright

Owned SE before and think they are good, so will see if they allow me the W995!

i have this as well and cant recommend more highly how good this phone is! brilliant, easy to use, plenty gadgets and stuff on it from standard, and bags of space on the memory card you get with it too (8gb)

I had a Tocco and it was hands down the worst phone I've ever owned. Touch screen was so unresponsive and it was basically just a fashion accessory with a good camera etc.

I would say Blackberry, but I suppose it depends what you're looking for. They are great phones, but if you're looking for a really good camera etc it might not be for you.

Had a Samsung Omnia for over a year now, think I'm due for free upgrade around Feb time... and its been fine apart from the battery life, which is shite. Especially if surfing the web/making frequent calls etc... it'll need fully charged overnight and by bedtime, you'll be needing to plug it back in or it'll die.

Yeh they are a good phone.Ive always had nokias but this phone is miles better than a nokia.The camera is mint.

Mine's on Orange and its bang on, but missus has one on T-mobile and its got a fair few bugs.

htc hero great phone available free upgrade on orange, hone book search is shite. battery is shite.

LG choclate bg400 wide screen good phone but not ergonomical to hold.

satio keep away, orange i believe is removing stock as it has a firmware issue which sony are trying to fix not orange problem.

blackberry bold 9700 good if you like your phone for emails and office tools also great fr facebook and very fast 3g internet.

sony erricisson w995 great phone! but not touch screen. some neat software like voice over software
nokia 6700 nice looking phone but typical nokia menu.

nokia n97 mini not heard alot but supposed to have resolved the n97 issues

iphone 3gs long waiting list and no good on upgrade deals minumum i think is 35 a month 24 month contract aswell.

Apparently all networks have recalled it except Vodafone and acording to the guy in the Vodafone shop they are not making much of an effort to sell them as they have had so many probelms with it.

Also the more things you have on a Sony the more offton it breaks, my C902 lasst about a month before it breaks.

I actually have an iPod touch, so no need to go down the iPhone route, I love the ipod to bits but for my phone want something else.

I have heard ALOT about these Android HTC jobbies, a lad at work has the Hero I think it is and looks the biz. I can get the HTC Tattoo Ink for free, HTC Touch 3G or the Blackberry Curve 8520.

I am not tooo bothered about the camera, so would settle for a Blackberry if they are that good, but at the same time I'm up for the Android OS on the HTC phones, so its really the HTC Touch, HTC Tattoo or Blackberry 8520 lol.

The tattoo allows you to design your own covers, which is quite unique and nice. Guess i'm going to have to plumb for one or the other...
