Default mobile cutting solutions

other than a large petrol driven circular saw, what car battery/own battery powered tools exist that can cut through chain/ wheel clamps etc??

Is there any small cutters that can go through such hardened steel applications that are small enough to keep in car? Most petrol driven saws ive seen are big and cumbersome being designed for other purposes.

Any ideas?

Illegal to remove or damage a DVLA one.

Criminal damage to a Private clamp,, If they can find it, or get you on Watermarked CCTV.

But I would guess it's for WarrenP's own personal clamp in case he looses the key..

EXACTLY! i have a comphrehensive array of tools and get you home spares in car so a decent cutting device is needed too!

What disc would i need to cut wheelclamps in half with a angle grinder?

Just a standard adbrasive metal cutting disc. Personally I prefer the extra thin discs designed for cutting Stainless Steel over the standard thicker ones.

If you can access ok the chain then swedish bolt croppers are quickest and cleanest, the set I used were designed for cutting 1" hardened bolts that hold down raliway parts on some track points so laugh at chain, they are extendable to 6 feet for leverage., but reduce down to 3 1/2 feet or so, bloody pricey though.
