Computer expert help needed please???
Hi there, my neighbour has this laptop with xp on it. she's started it this morning but it will only display this screen.. it just counts down from 30 an tries to start then reverts back to this.. does the same if you move the highlighted field up to safe mode, safe mode with networking and safe mode with comand prompt.. any idea's??? i'm clueless at this one, I normally can manage most problems, not that I know what i'm doing though.. here's what it says..

Alright mate!
Try the start windows normally option (you probably have already though)
then try last known good configuration if the above didnt work, post back and let us know the score.

First i would try popping in ur xp cd then booting from that use the console repair thing see if that sorts it if not could be many many things hardware fault or software/driver fault no way of telling without a fiddle so best bet is to pop it into a local pc repair shop. that or re-format and lose everything on it

cool, does it boots up into safe mode? if it does then we know windows is ok. you might need a quick repair job so have the recovery disk handy if you have it mate.
Change the boot sequence to the disk drive (if you can get into the BIOS), boot from the disk then the repair windows option, give that a bash.
Im off to the gym so ill check in when i come back.
