Can i put a turbo on my escort van
I have a 1994 1.8 diesel escort van can i fit a low pressure turbo from the non intercooled turbo diesel engine.
She is very slow at the moment but i would like to stay with the original engine as it is low mileage and i have known the van from new but will fitting the turbo do damage to a standard engine.

you could but it will nothing for the power , its the fuel that makes the power on a diesel , you would need the fuel pump from a TD also
would be far easier to just swap complete engines instead , a good con TDI lump can be got for less than £100
