transport costs for garden shed
need some help with the above please, hopefully there's someone on here that works in this area.
i am selling my house and the new buyer does not want to buy my garden shed. it's a decent one that cost nearly a grand to buy so i don't want to get rid of it cheaply. the problem is, i don't want to take it apart either if i can help it and i would still need a truck to transport it if i did.
ideally i would like a truck to come up behind the back garden (there is vehicular access there) with a HIAB or crane or whatever and lift it on whole and transport it about 25 miles down the road.
anyone have any idea of cost for that sort of thing? thanks

I do drive a hiab lorry but in Suffolk area so a bit to far for me to come out to yer, but just to give you an idea of cost we charge £50 per hour and its charged from door to door.

thanks mate, that gives me a rough idea would probably only be 2 hours job at most.
can you see picking up a 9'x5' shed being a problem? how would you you do it without squashing the sides in?
also, my back garden is a metre or so higher than the road behind and the shed would need to be lifted over a 6' wall. is that easy for a hiab?
maybe i need to look at companies that transport static caravans and that sort of thing?

You'll probably have to take it apart. Although it might look sturdy, it probably isn't. Imagine it collapsing sideways after it's loaded onto a flatbed?
I'll take it away for a few beer tokens if you like. I could do with another one

i would take it apart you would need steel re-enforcement to stop it collapsing during the lift. you should just be able to take the roof off then the sides should just un-bolt, 5 pieces would be easier and much cheaper to move.
