Default noss ????

Got a noss kit for the escort and i wonderd can you run noss so you have it all the time ie for 1/4 mile runs and then for the road run the noss so it helps the car up to 3500rpm then stops once the turbo has got going. The reason for this is i dont want to put noss on my car just for a few 1/4 mile runs in the year but would be nice if it helped the turbo out ? if it can whould it be worth it ? and also were would you get it done ? any ideas

Is it a NOS or another US kit if so its not best Kit to use with a controller it uses solenoids.
The Wizard (WON) kits use pulsoids mush easier to control perhaps you should have asked before buying.

They used NOS in the 70's as anti lag. Vizard invented it, explains how to make it in his book but better with a modern controller.

rob it is a nos kit, just looked on there web site at the controllers whould there controllers do what i want ie run all the time at full for 1/4 mile runs and for the road run low down and up to 3500rpm just for a boost, that might be a silly question but with one of the two controllers on there site would be better for me.

N20 was originally used during the second world war on planes to give a boost when needed. AFAIK it was use well before the seventies on cars.

The yank solonoids are apparently unreliable in comparision to the Wizards of Nos kits, don't take heat very well and using them progressive controllers shortens there life further still. Also with the Wizards kits you don't need to purge the lines and imo better customer service as they are based in England.
Ran a kit on my old rst and it loved the stuff Will be putting 100 shot in a saph 4x4 once I find a decent one

Using it as a anti-lag would eventually turn out too expensive, better off hooking up the anti-lag on the P8 imo...Gas is great for 1/4's but just as anti-lag I wouldn't bother unless it was something as huge as a GT40.

Lastly I was led to believe gas does'nt like low revs ie below 2500rpm can't remember the reasoning though. Have a look on www.noswizard.com

Gas and low rpm is a great combination on an low compression forged bottom end, as the cylinder pressures are so low anyway, so its not a risk like it would be on say a zetec motor.

You can make the nitrous shutoff by using an rpm window switch, but i dont think you will want to when you try it, just leave it on all the way up the rev range.

A small hit will be ok in one go without needing to go progressive.

IF you go progressive you will need to get rid of that nasty american kit and get a wizards of nos one instead or you will be forver rebulding solenoids (6 mins life expectancy for a holly solenoid when pulsed vs an unlimited lifetime warranty on the wizards of nos one)

Still not sure if this guy has a NOS or a WON kit,
Use the word Nitrous not Nos for the gas & it may become clear.

That isn't a Wizards WI kit .It looks like a flowjet pump the same as mine.Suppose to be better than the ERL one.

So the answer to my question is "yes it is the kit I sold you".... and as the rest have said they are the best kits on the market but get a braided pipe from the bottle to the nitrous solenoid as the plastic 1 provided aren't too good imo
