Default Paintwork help required from people in the know RE: My S1

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!

This is the mess that has been left by that horrible aero filler cap:

As you can see there's a ring where it used to be and paint has flaked/peeled off in places.

Is this an easy repair? How much approximately for a decent job by a body shop?

Also am I missing anything around the filler cap? Or is it supposed to look like that?

This is what the side repeater holes look like:

Could these be repaired or would it be easier to blank them off and smooth the wing like de-locking? Again how much?

Unless your car was registered before 1986 (so it would have to be an 85-C latest) you cna't remove the wing repeaters completely, as MOT law is any car that left the factory with them or any car made after 01-01-86 must wear side repeaters.

I'm think I'll probably take a chance and hope for a lenient testing station, it's not like it's a major issue.

Hopefully I'll be fine!

Just had a look at the V5 and it was first registered on 17th December 1985, so does this mean I DO NOT need side repeaters for an MOT?

Yeah I think I'm going to get the holes blanked over, they look better without in my opinion anyway.
