Default Ebay question

I had an item on ebay, listed it with auction and buy it now. Thought someone had bought it til I got a message saying they'd hit buy it now by mistake. Can I retract it, remove their error and have the auction etc carry on or do I need to relist it? And if I can without relisting it, how?

Im pretty sure that once they hit the buy it now button, and confirmed, then you have to start from scratch mate. Then send them a cancelation to get your fees back. Its a pain in the arse, and its a load of bollocks when they say they bid by mistake or hit buy it now by mistake. You have to review and confirm so more they get a warning before committing.
