Post dvla/POINTS

sent my driving licience off a week ago to change the adress and today i recieved it back to find all my points have been removed YESSSS
ONLY 1 MORE YEAR ON MY iN10 THEM IM 100% CLEAN,,THAT JUST MADE MY DAY,
But i still havent recieved the log book for my mr2 so i cant tax and insure it which is a shame because the weather is shizte and perfect for some rwd fun just goto play the wating game c,mon dvla why are u soooo SLOOOOOOOW
not sure why i fet the need to share this but hey

insurance stays on for 4 years and the points are active for the 4 years. i had that serveral times in the past

it used to be 4. i got banned for 4 years and when i got my licence back it was clean.

just had a look into it,it dosnt count after 4years but u have to declare it to insurance for 5 years im not going to tell them about it tho lol

only if you have a claim within that first year. after that you dont have to declare it. some insurance companies only ask for convictions in the previous 3 years.

Insurance companies are all different some ask for convictions etc for 3 years and some for 5 years but they say "any within the last Xyears" Your best bet is to declare and be honest if they ask, cos if you have to make a claim and they find out that you didn't declare it when you should have done that would make your insurance void surely??

just a thought

i have a clean licence so dont take my word on any of the above lol just how i see it lol

Find one that only asks for three years. If you have an accident and get caught won't you get another IN10? And if so is it worth it. You got caught once pay the premium and in future it will go down.

lloyds insurance only asks ffor 3 years.

A friend of mine has different wheels, seats, stereo, engine parts and much more and none of it is declared. He's driving around in a VW shell but everything on the car is Audi and when he crashes which is often, it comes back repaired. No-one seems to care which makes me wonder...
