Dojj you won't get a free HD box from Sky if you're already an HD customer. You'd have to pay full price £199 and install.

Why on earth would Sky ever give you a free box? The need to see a contractual commitment from you to offset the cost of the box.

You could steal one........

It's like with mobile phones, they'll have their core price that they have to earn back to warrant selling a box at less that it costs (or FOC). They don't just give them away for fun.

free box
330 instlation fee
that's it
and if you pay the hd subs, it's only working out to be £120 for the years contract
so they want to sell me a box for £200 or i can pay £150 for the privelege if i sign up with them?

how does that make finaicial sense?

Technically it aint free as I phoned up the other day and found out if you're an exsiting sky customer you ring up and claim your free HD sky box, it then costs a £30 standard installation fee, £60 if you have multi room, you then have to subscribe to the HD channels at a further cost of £9.99 a month

I am already paying around a bullseye a month for what we have at present sold I told them to forget it, at the moment I'm trying to save on my friggin tv bill a month not incurr further pigging costs

the way things are going i might just get another sky+ box off ebay for £30 quid and be done with it

you don't realise how much you rely on stuff until it fucks up, all the kids programs are on the box and it's not really feesable to get them swapped over

I don't think Sky's software will allow a second box to be purchased under any offer even although it was an indirect purchase Dojj. (I think it goes against your first HD pack subscription) Give them a call and let us know how you get on.
