a t4 is very efficeient at lower boost levels, another 6 held psi on that and id say its running 470 really, if you sit on the dyno and watch a t4 engine and go to 26 psi and it says 470ish hp and think shit this engines on a mission ! put another 5-6 psi in and it goes 510-520, really dont climb as you would expect, be interesting to see what yours makes on the rollers

all this talk of oh oh oh it broke. tbh running over 200 bhp per litre is a stressed engine and things will break, it doesnt matter who has built it components will fail from time to time. i know rod is like 400 odd bhp per ltre but look at the engineering / work involved in getting it to hold together.

MAD are a great company. Mark Shead is brutally honest and also built the car i will base my Escos on next year. YUM all the way. But if your calling SCS a non decent company then you really need to do your homework.
SCS or MAD if i was to get a engine built. Most likely MAD at this rate as i can't be arsed to travel to Peterborough
MAD are only in Maidenhead/Berkshire. Closer to me

Jimbo seems like a nice lad, and I have had dealings with many tuners in the past. As we go though different choices of cars they tend to take us to different tuning companies, be they Jap, German or Fords.
I have seen 1st hand work from the guys at SCS and I was very happy with the work undertaken by them for my 430bhp motor . I understand there is a lot of crap spoken out there in the tuning industry, be it how much bhp ya got or how long ya dick is on a cold day (mines 10" ). Anyway the point is, never have I come across a tuner who would offer warranty on an engine with more than twice the standard power, especially as the fellow taking the motor away shall kick the living hell out of it from the second it starts up in the morning and show it no respect. If it goes bang then off it goes back to the engine builder to be fixed at their cost. My radio controlled car doesn't even have warranty! Anyway, going on too much here (sorry about that).
In short, austarias has a problem slagging scs every time they are in a thread what a c@ck Su@ker. Get real mate, engines drop valves when ya miss gears and stop PM-ing me I'm not into man loving and wont be meeting you in any laybys!!!

Now Now folks, i just wanted some answers to what it'd cost. Did not want to start a argument over SCS and MAD. Its irrelevant as both make great engines but in different ways.

Is it much good them putting their hands up and saying "it was our fault" if they then refuse to do anything at all about it?
Nothing to do with me, im just playing devils advocate as your comment seems strange to me, someone going "yes we fucked up but tough we arent doing anything about it" which is how this thread reads doesnt really seem like a great attitude to me. But I dont think thats actually the case, I think you probably misread jimbos reply anyway, I think he was being sarcastic, not making an admission!

hi jimbo it was done on field motorsports engine dyno with a borrowed swedish plenum he capped it at 24 psi & just left it , but when i got it back i had no boost control at all & used to see 40+psi quiet regular with a standard big turbo escos plenum the exhaust emmisions was awful had to fudge the emissions every year to get mot till i got an msd chip .right i have a question of my own now when i had no boost control it hit 40+psi with no surge ,but now i have boost control it peeks at 32ish psi but surges like an absolute pig whats wrong ????????????????
heres a dyno print out from a dyno dynamics rolling road with the standard plenum its got good torque
but doesnt make much more power probably cos of the plenum
it peaked at 537ft lbs

i'm not the first or only person to think it and its not just on this website either.
i come on here to read resto threads, look in the classifieds, see what shows are coming up and have a mooch in general. would be more pleasent looking round the site without hearing you go on and on about MAD, rod tarry, 200 mph, your shack of a garage or about garages that you are slagging off for mapping work, engine work etc.... and tbh its boring now. people who know me on here will all have the same view of me, that i jsut get on with it not bitchy etc....
can honestly say i've never heard a good word said about you, just endless negative comments.

To me there's no point in having a 500bhp cosworth or Evo or pretty much any 2.0. It's not going to last and your going to encounter loads of problems. If it's a road car I'd forget the whole thing!
If you go to any of the Evo sprints 1/2 of the cars don't even last the whole day!
You could spend the money making a much more complete car with say 350bhp which would be much quicker and realiable.
Or just do what most cosworth owners do get massive amounts of bhp then lose it at the first corner.
