Hi guys. i am runing rb t4, 8 greens & mongoose, car has lots more low down torque but seemed there was more power at 7000 rpm on old t38 but this was using ggr exhaust which was huge downpipe and the last 6550- 7200 it reved like fook 4wd wheel spin no probs.
Is this down to exhaust as heard it needs to be large for big power but anti lag blew the as out of it, sounded awsum for 5 mins then did your head in like been clubin allnight.
What cams does everyone think best as just want the car to be quick like big torque not chasin bhp and want it faster than mates evo cause thats on boost just right for road drivin. heard standard exhaust cam was best?
have you got a dyno or r/r run for your engine mate ?
i have not had it done mate,not until its all been set up and checked over etc!
Richard/adrian had her on the rollers made 426bhp i think but the actuator was fecked was only hitting 26psi,now hits 37psi and holds 32 so its got to be around the 500 figure i would say

a t4 is very efficeient at lower boost levels, another 6 held psi on that and id say its running 470 really, if you sit on the dyno and watch a t4 engine and go to 26 psi and it says 470ish hp and think shit this engines on a mission ! put another 5-6 psi in and it goes 510-520, really dont climb as you would expect, be interesting to see what yours makes on the rollers

one day i might have the bottle to let someone rev the bolocks out of it on a set lol!although its nearly the same spec as touring car etc and they are 2 br of boost and over 500bhp!well it has touring car spec head lol!

youve gotta be 500 + mate i was on bd14s and very mildly worked head and made 472 at 7800 still climbing when it hit the limiter. youve got a bigger port and higher lift and 200 more revs should piss 500 imo, are you on .63 rear housing ? mine was, watch exhaust temps i saw 980 c a couple of times in the downpipe after top speed runs 170 + !

not sure on the housing fella!presume its rs500spec its got 247 shaft etc to handle the ac/lc
5500 rpm to 7800 rpm was where it was at in my old t4 saph after stu mapped it to 2.2 bar. was relentless up in those revs. not 500 bhp i know but not far of peak power and the most achieveable without selling some organs
I love big rpm turbo motors, its where its at I reckon!
My nova pulls well to 8300rpm and I go there nearly every gear change, its ace
If I ever get round to fitting the new crank I recently bought its getting some extra RPM on top of that too
It blew the baffles out the middle box with a week tho
Sounds fucking awsome without the baffles tho

well it should be up there, rule of thumb normally being on a t4 sorta engine 1psi = 10bhp
i really am not getting involved in this tonight, austarias or whatever his name his will be banging on soon, i cant be doing with it so ill let them get on with it tonight
