I'm very interested in seeing both the construction and completion of your sub box, I've never seen one positioned like that before and am now considering doing a similar thing. Plenty of pics please

wanted the sub to be out of the way.....but had to be in a box or it would sound tinny and crap, so measured the hole of the wheel well, cut 2 disks of mdf to that size, and 1 bigger so it over lapped the edge VERY slightly, put 6 uprights to strenghten it, and then wrapped it in ply, VERY tight, and all parts screwed together and used EXPANDING GLUE, great stuff but DONT get it on your hands lol, i did and it took nearly a week to come off.....after i made it, i drilled 4 holes in the bottom and bolted it to the bottom of the well, when the sub gets fitted i will take it out and put some rockwool in there between the box and wheel well sides.

how that is of some use,
cost the pricce of a bag of screws.....tube of glue, couple of sheets of mdf, and 1 sheet of ply

you should come down to eastbourne for are monthly rsoc meet at south coast performance, not so much an rs meet anymore though, just a general ford meet, it's every second wednesday of each month

 

i had that sub in the wheel well idea on my last car aswel


worked a treat, eventually got abit of clear purspex over it so i could use the hole boot again
