the corner you see in your pic has to be cut off along with the one opposite behind the ribbon wire so it clears the ally fixing lug it should drop down inside the fixing posts but its still fixed at the other end
the lid will fit then well done on picking msd so much better than the others

you only need to cut one corner, the one furthest away in the pic.

the other will sit under the lug on the ecu, this actually holds the board down.

send an email to sales@remapping.co.uk explain what you got with an invoice number, and the instructions for the board were missing,, and i will make sure the instructions get sent on monday am mate, before you go cutting and making a mistake.

clean the cut up with a flat file,

then you will get the second screw in place,

no bodge, works fine and no pikey can copy the software!

i would much rather fit one of our chips, because they are the best out there,

and our chips remain ours, and not copied on ebay,

Im not faulting the quality of your chips mate , But FFS make it fit correctly

Sorry to say but it looks a total bodge no matter how well it works

I bet other tuners who may open an ECU with that fitted would be shocked

That board is designed to be fixed in all 4 corners

Fixing it in 2 and wedging it underneath isnt IMO a great way to fit it , isnt the board Plastic ? and bending brittle plastic again IMO isnt a great idea

And to compare it to cutting the corner of a metal part that has nothing fixed to it

I shall shut up now as the MSD lot will gang up on me , lol

we use a seperate encryption key to keep our software ours

hundreds of hours work go into our software and we take every measure to keep it ours, so when we sell it the customer knows exactly what it is, with instructions,

imo the customer is the winner, the encryption actually stops the bodgers getting there way with our chips,

the next time i see a dead engine due to a poor copy chip i will send them to this thread!

they fit perfectly well, it causes no problems at all,the board is not in any danger of breakage, and still very secure, we woudnt do it otherwise.

they look fine when modded nicely

its there for good reason

cant say anymore really.

to be fair it does look like abit shit,

i hear wot paul is saying, one or two screws are not going to hold it in place firmly, cous most cossy's have uprated suspension, that will shake your filling out,so god knows wot it will do to your poor little board

there's got to be a way of fixing the board in the right way, couldnt you mod top cover or something like that

chips dont look like copies, even if they are...

if someone purchased a suposed genuine msd chip on ebay how would you know it was genuine?

the labels are easy to copy!
