No they dont fit perfectly

50% of the fixings arnt used , instead that half of the board is wedged under instead of sitting on top

I just feel this isnt the usuall thing you would expect from a company who tries to produce products of high quality

ahh ok, you obviously fit more than i do then, because the 5 or 6 a day i fit are perfectly secure. but what the hell would i know

when its fitted the board has no movement, so even with 30 screws you wont gain anything.

Still trying to get my head around this, Theres nothing wrong with cutting circuit boards, Its secure when it is fitted, it may look rough in the picture (Tonys crap cutting skills? ) its in a sealed unit so its not likely to be open to any elements where it can get damaged.

Whats the problem?

Thing is, Its either mod the board or the casing.. I know which is cheaper and more cost effective.

there are LOADS of aftermarket parts that dont fit cars how they are supposed to

i bet 75% of uprated bits dont fit anythin like as good as OE parts that they replace..people hardly ever moan about that.

to be honest, I didnt really think twice when i got my MSD set up and had to do this to it.. If Stu or James etc did this before you saw it,, you wouldnt even realise it was an issue i bet!

am i right in thinking its only the closed loop set up that uses this board that needs to be cut.

i said i fit 5 or 6 a day,

i didnt say i cut and mod 5 or 6 a day,

i may fit a few chips to one ecu in a day, or the emulation equipment,

Cant believe how this thread has turned out all i wanted was a simple answer and thats it instead i get Paul saying my little bit of handy work is a bodge i agree it does not look 100% but believe you me that little circuit board is under no pressure and is very very sturdy in place and just by fitting this chip alone my car instantly runs so much better cant believe it and im very very happy with it

Tony
