Will this be any good? http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.203-9154.aspx

Remember i only want something basic, as long as it will get me where im going i dont care about anything else really.

And do i just attach it to the screen and plug it into the fag lighter socket and off you go?

That one is good, TomTom is best imo
As long as all you need is UK maps, then get that.

Ive googled and read somewhere saying some may require you to upgrade your mobile phone taffic, or may require specialist installation?

Can i just stick that one in my car and use it straight away?

Yeah its a basic one but does the job. Plug it in and away you go! To be honest many of the more expensive ones have loads of features but alot it is just gimmicks. Like the built in handsfree, its a load of pish if your going over 30mph.

it depends whether you want to use the TomTom just to get you from A>B, or if you want the extra features like traffic jam avoidance, weather etc etc.

If you just want GPS sat nav, then you turn it on, wait a few mins for the satellites to sync, then away you go.

If you need the online stuff like traffic, weather etc, then i think it bluetooths to your phone, or something similar, but tbh I've never bothered with all that.

[obvious joke mode]
Doesn't the N95 have a suitable Satnav? I heard if you put it between your legs while you drive it'll guide you to a destination while wanking you off at the same time! It's that good a phone!
