Default Paranormal Activity? (spoiler, alternate ending)

Went to watch this on Sunday with my best mate and his cousins. OK i'll admit to shitting myself but not as much as you always gets some mouthy Black/Asian/White girls at Park Royal Cinema.

Anyway, many of you may or may not know that there are several cuts of this film with 3 different endings. Not wanting to spoil it for anyone but all i can say the UK ending is just utter shite and the stupid low bass they use to cover up creepy sounds.

However, although i had already had shat myself, we got back to my mates place and started discussing the film and the usual crap 'remember this bit and that bit'. So while the discussion was taking place, i was online to read up on the film. I learnt that it cost the director £9000 to make and he made £60Million in the US alone on the opening week and that he used the £9000 to make his house the set for the film.

So as i was searching i found a good print of the film online and me being me asked the fellas if they fancied watching it again to which they happily replied 'Yes'. So we watched it again and the version we found of the film had the American Ending which was far more worse than the UK release.

So now i'm gonna spoil it. In UK Cinemas final scene she awakes and stands next to Micah for 3 hours just looking at him before heading down stairs. As she heads downstairs, a minute later she screams the fucking place down and her BF runs downstairs screaming 'WTF?' and then all of a sudden there is silence. Then you hear the steps up the stairs and then the BF body flying towards the Camera. Good ending but just didn't do it for me.

NOW if you like shitting yourself the Alternate ending is what you want. After the silence, she returns to the bedroom and sits next to the bed, rocking back and forth for 2 days straight. Her friend comes over and discovers the BFs body and leaves. 30mins later the police enter the place and as they come up the stairs, she snaps out of it but she's still holding the knife. Police ask her to put the knife down but shes concerned about where her BF is and doesn't realize that she's holding a knife. BUT the police get startled by the door slamming shut in the background by itself and shot her.

Out of all honesty, the US ending is what will make you shit bricks due to the fact of how creepy it is she just sits for 2 days rocking. The ending alone is enough to do fuck people up. A lot of people were walking out of the cinema cos they couldn't hack it.

Anyway, sorry for the spoiler but i'm trying to find the other 5 cuts of the film and am doing well

I was Applauding the geeza. £9000 and a £60mil return and still counting. Just amazing. He only paid the Actors £300 quid each and also shot the whole film in 7 days.

I have seen both aswell and i agree, the ending where she is just rocking back and forwards is quite strange. Wouldn't say its particularly scary though, bit jumpy in places, its just leaves you feeling rather un-easy!

I have one on download, this ending is the one where she walks up to the camera and slits her own throat. We'll i'm hoping

This film has got me thinking about how much effort was put into it and it was hardly anything. He made a film using a Camera and his own House. Why didn't i think of that?

I watched it about a month ago and thought it was crap.

Originally it cost about 10k to make, that was years ago though, the guy has spent a fortune trying to get it off the ground since the film was finished. True production costs are rumoured to be a hell of alot more then 10k.

Still, it is making a shit load of money on a pretty damn low budget.

i cant believe they thought adding that new cinema ending with the flying body IMPROVED it

the 1 with the police shooting her is the original from when the film was released waaaaaaaaaay back, but they thought it wasnt hollywood enough or some crap.

i did hear about a 3rd ending, but havent looked for that, nor am i too fussed, as it wont make the rest of the film be less shite!

Saw this today at the pictures. I liked it! Makes you feel very uneasy. I'd say you NEED to see it in the cinema. It just makes it all the more creepier with the loud surround.

Her tits were awesome though!

I'm not surprised about the figures. Blair witch was the same. Its similar to the recent uk zombie film, 'colin'. Made for 100 quid or something, he's starting to make a bit of wedge of it.
