PMSL! over 500 lbft by 4000 rpm

His cars/engines are unreal. they always seem quicker because he seems to have beaten lag somehow!

0-150 in 8 seconds in his green car before.. so when he gets an engine Like this in his car it will be truely unreal

PS

appears to be running on pure ethanol rather than 85% like some of his other engines, but maybe im reading too much into that graph!

IIRC that car was a road car and had mostly standard transmission. It was for sale on piston heads I believe

Think i remember that one think it was around Ł30k.

Got a question tho.

How come an Evo Engine can get 1000bhp yet a Yb seems to have trouble getting to 900bhp?

Does the YB compression differ from the Evo Engine much? Stroke? Bore size etc? Or does the fuel side come into it at this HP

I remember that car ! mainly for the reason that the engine came with warranty !

1000hp on the road would be bonkers and also very dangerous !

The compression ratio is higher on an Evo starts in the 8's l think and there is also the engine design itselfs, Chip will tell you as this has been asked before

ian howell is building a high powered evo engine , and when he showed me the difference between the inlet / exhaust port size on a standard evo head compared to a big valve zetec head i was really shocked , there massive so no wonder you can get 500/600 bhp a piece of piss out of the evo engine.

cheers paul

I think it was that price too. Made some escorts look ridiculously priced at the time. I mean M600 was 28k was it not?? Surely the evo is the better buy?

I just read it's got a supercharger and a gt45.
He is going to b selling it as a bolt on kit up to 5-600bhp.
Sounds very interesting.
If his green monster makes 1000 already imagine what it's going to b like with a s/c as well.
Makes for much better low down power/responce will b a lot easier to drive quickly to.
And put less stress on the transmission.

Oh and the 1 already mentioned is for a customers road car lmao.

as has been said before, the internal geometry of the evo engine is just completely different from the cossie in terms of bore, stroke, rod length and numerous other details, the heads are so far removed from one another theyre like chalk and cheese too. The only thing they really have in common is being nominally 2l 4pots with turbos, and in this cas not even that much.

Evo's are at least twice the size! I'll take some pictures tomorrow. Cossy heads are VERY small.
