On normal use the number plate would be sitting 20mm from the tailgate. It would look daft!

am sure if the police saw you useing this theres a great chance of you being done for perverting the course of justice.my mate had one on his bike years ago ,the ones that folded your plate in half, got pulled over on a ride out and was told to remove it or face the court for the above.

Been on TV a long while back and people were warned at the time, if caught with them fitted, even if not working you will go to court.

Not worth it IMO.

Was going to say "Perverting the Course of Justice" but see quite a few others have beaten me to it.

research similar plates that are the same make as your car/bike (even if its just the model) and that differ by only 1 number or letter and get them made up, if you get pulled you can pretend its a genuine mistake and they then have to prove you were doing it on purpose...or so i was told

cant see it working myself tho. i thought about flick up plates for my bike but after being told the consequences i think id rather the points, least you have a chance of talking your way out of it!

Can get a FAR better one that raises a curtain to hide the plate id, so just looks like a std plate with a surround, think it's well under £100, well having just looked it is £58.96p delivered to your door, and remote control of each end of car individually, oh another thing for anyone with bikes, this is for TWO number plate hiders.

Why not buy a sat nav that warns you if there is a speed camera?

Then just slow for the camera?
