Default focus running on

ive just bought a 1.8 focus been stood a while startd ok donethe norm oil and filter it runs and pulls well but when you take your foot off between gears the revs take ages to come down is this common any idea whats up with it thanks gary

vaccum pipe from the crankcase breather normally sucks flat and or splits.that would cause a rolling idle.idle valve could be dirty

Yup, both very common! I'd say idle control valve sticking, you can try cleaning and refitting, but if it were me i'd just stick a new one on!
