Do they go straight on or cause any problems etc??
i was thinking about getting some for my mk4 but iv read a bit here and there about they arent very safe for hard cornering underweight etc???

you need to have your arches all rolled, this is not hard and will cost you about 170 to have done. then you must run 195/40 or 195/45 tyres.
if you are rnning standard ride height then these will fit on without rolle arches.
