Laughter is an involuntary reaction of relief that something hasnt happened to you..........that is why we laugh at inappropriate things sometimes, its involuntary, and we are subconciously glad its not us.

i didnt think it was funny really. it was a bit odd though. only because, the guy was a proper manly looking guy so it just didnt look or sound right. a lot of blokes who go through the change are quite feminine looking anyway but he really just looked like a bloke in a dress

Didn't find it funny at all. A bit odd and a mystery to me but who am I to judge them? It's clearly something they felt strongly about and I can't see it being an easy thing to do.
Does it have an impact on me? No. So why should it be of concern to me

i just think its wrong if there is no medical reason.
your born a man, you stay a man and vice versa.
its deception at the very least.
if a bloke was to go out, take "it" back (niether he or she) and have penertrative sex with "it" (if "he" was to get his bits inverted etc) and not be told...or even worse find out afterwards what state can that put a man in? or a woman for that matter?
you have had "secx" with someone of the same sex unwillingly, if your religiouse or have certain views this could be devastating, and even if your fine with the fact he is a she or vice versa you have still benn hoodwinked...and as far as i know there is NO comeback for this? no law or prosecution.
APART from that side of things, unless ther is a medical reason (ie the person is "a bit of both") then what POSSIBLE reason could there be? if your gay then your gay, feeling your the wrong "sex" is a mental problem nothing else, its not like a gay person who loves somebody for who they are, its someone who cannot live with who THEY are.
its wrong on SO many levels and rite on non. i dont mean they should be mocked because of this but i also consider them freaks if they really believe they should be the other sex, if its a mental issue they should be pittyd...and helped

Its not the case though is it- hes not just doing it for a laugh its a life changing step that i'm sure he hasn't taken likely.
he probably knows small minded people like you will laugh at him and judge him before they even know him.
I say him to keep it simple for you, don't want to confuse a simple mind btw.

other than to be "seen" as a woman tho what has he to gain? by joe public he will be seen as a female. he wont be able to have a relationship without telling someone first and his family will see him as a man. i really dont understand it as in my above post?

I didn't see the program and am work so can't see the images but hes sounds like hes in the early stages of transitioning- he feels strongly that he should be a woman and chooses to dress and behave like one- the looks and voice and maybe surgery will come later- i'm sure his objective is not to always be seen as a man in a dress.
Most T/S's have to have evalutions and counselling before any major work is done but to mock them and laugh at them is very unfair its more than skin deep for them.

im also at work so can only go from what has been said.
have a read of what my longer post was saying tho. about relationships/going with men and the mental stability issues as well. i dont see how i can be wrong on that part? and how would you feel if you were "hoodwinked" into be by a transexual id be absolutely out of my mind.

With all due respect if she is a post op transexual that looks like a female, acts like a female, has the 'equipment' of a female and essentially is one and you have chemistry and that leads to sex then have you relly been 'hoodwinked?' most post ops would tell a prospective partner anyhow.

what about personal tho? if i had been hoodwinked by a man posing as a woman (thats essentially what it is, without pills and opps the male hormones would come back and make the she a he again) its still a man, it doesnt have the reproductive organs, the ntural hormones etc and was born and still is a man. (obviously women have probs with hormones and having reproductive organs removed, i know this)
id have to ask what other men would think, as personally id most likely be up for murder.

I personally don't think transexualism is something to laugh at, but the guy could at least grow his hair and lose the stubble regularly (thought the pills would stop that coming through, I really don't know that much about it )
The poor blokes on Sex Change Hospital on Channel 5 had their downstairs sorted out and still looked like men in drag
Agree with you Chris69

It must take a massive amount of courage to not only come out to your friends and family, but to also go through what must be a savage operation. And while I'll be the first person to snigger at the thought of a 'he-she' I've still got respect for anyone who does it, especially in a male dominated profession.
