hi all i know its a ford site but im in a pickle, ive got a 2000 x reg 1.8 20vt ibiza and have a problem hope someone can shed some light.
i fitted a recirc valve other week and after abot 60 miles the turbo started to sound like a super charger whining like hell, got told it was the turbo so ive had fitted a ko3s and a re map, so picked the car up tonight at 5.30pm when the garage was closing and the car is still the same now i am going to take the car down for them to have another look but what else can it be i got advised to take the recirc valve off by the garage which he has done im baffled and annoyed after spending few hundred quid for it to be still the same

recirc valve has fuck all to do with it. What was it you fitted? Forge 007's a re very common on these VAG motors. A replacement K03s and and remap must be the fat end of a grand so I wouldn't be happy at all.

he changed recirc back to the standard black plastic one supplied and fitted a ko3s and a re map, car goes ok but not much differance than before realy just top end pull but still makes this realy loud turbo noise and i mean loud when its on boost, car idles fine no hunting just when turbos on song screams

Worth checking the TIP as I have been told these can split although not seen it myself. Do you run a boost gauge? if so what's it doing. I assume he has run VAGcom on it?

sorry whats the TIP? no boost gauge only had car 3 weeks wish id of kept my zvh. the cars standard apart from miltek a itg air filter and now the ko3s and re map.
could it be a boost pipe i know naff all about these not like a good old ford

TIP - Turbo Intake Pipe. It's teh one that goes from the filter to the turbo with the recirc valve and N75 on it

Should have noticed the problem had nothing to do with the recirc valve but hey.

Check all the boost hoses for any signs of damage or being seated poorly

found the problem out its the oil pump, its starved the turbo of oil so this new ko3s is f**ked aswell now im so pissed off, the guy is standing the cost of the turbo
