fast ford mag has said they will support the team and lloyd is sorting a 30min slot at rs central day as a qualifier so please put your names down if you are interested
we need at least 10 cars a mix of fwd rwd a 4wd would be good and the fastest from central day will be in the team ,how does that sound ????

when is central day? i would be intrested in this will either be in my mk2 or if my mk3 is done by then it will be in that

 

its a long wat off yet its in mid april but will give everyone plenty time to get sorted for it.

 

cool, if central day is just 1/4 mile how is that a good way of getting in to the ford team as some cars might be better in diffrent events and as quick on the 1/4 mile as every one can drive fast in a straight line, this is a geniune question

 

Well its a lot easier a test to hold than a handling circuit or top speed run and gives a good indication of the cailbur of the car.

All FWD Vauxhalls from last year pissed 12s I beleive, so if theres a bunch of Fords doing 13 we know not to bother essentailly!

 

i can see your point there si, what power would be needed to run a 12sec 1/4 then on a fwd? where can i have a look at last years times aswell?

ive ran several 12.7s with 300-310hp in a mk3 fezz with all its trim and stereo ect

 

ye ive qualified and ben asked the last 3 year but just liked to watch, i might have a go next year, see how the cars going and if we can get a few decent cars, im hoping for sub 10`s and i might have a little team of helpers

central day is hopefully its first outing, i usually do well there

 

thats good going as lukes is around that time, with more power and stripped out

thanks wenny , i know all about luca's car think everyone does lol. i should be a lot quicker at central day next year tho more power and better tyres and a bottle of gas in the boot may even strip it out .

 

ye strip it out for the day, tyres are the best mod on a fwd and nos will defo help

only been on the ass dyno but it will be dyno'd on a set of dd rollers before central day ,i dont want a power run till i cant get anymore power from the standard head .

usc is the weekend after ive just found out, now is it ford fair or totb

 

also if people enter and come 10th, it spurs them on to try harder next year anyway, so who cares if you win in your first attempt or not?

You've taken that out of context slightly, I was simplay suggesting to 'robp-tt' as to why a quarter mile qualify would be best. I totally agree its about the taking part that counts, and I know there are some fast FWD Fords going and am also well aware we probably wont win but I for one would love to compete!

I know what your saying though in terms of a lot of people say this but as I say we should have some quick Fords going this year!

 

Totally agree, was speaking to few mates today who are up for TOTB over Ford Fair as we've never been.

 

totb is awsome its just car abuse non stop all day from like 9 in the morning till about 4ish in the afternoon well worth the trip and great day out duno witch one im going to go to tho now shame its fell on the same weekend

 

i have been to totb mate just not took part lol
