Default A proposal for Simon Johnson (Flux Capacitor) ref Biglee's Collection / Charity

Hi all,

Since mid 2005 I have been trying to recover £1220 that Simon Johnson owes me.

This is not a huge amount of money but there have been times when I could have really done with it back over the last few years.

During past years I have discussed this with Simon via emails, PassionFord PM’s and telephone conversations. He has always agreed that he would return the money but then comes the usual false promises and excuses.

I have been patience and kept my cool over it as there are other things more important in life to worry about. I’m sure many people would have gone and visited Simon at his home and discussed the matter face to face, but I feel this would have only gone one way and its trouble I could do without to be honest.

I accepted quite some time ago that I would never see this money due to the kind of individual Simon is. However, even if I don’t see the money again I would rather it went somewhere else.

Hence the proposal I have for Simon Johnson.......

If he returns the money I will donate half (£610) of it to Biglee’s collection and the other half I will donate to charity. This will be a charity of my choice or I will do a poll on PF.

I suggest that if Simon decides to go along with this he gives the money to a third party who will then split the money accordingly. My personal choice to do this would be Stu @ MSD – the Admin of this board.

If it easier for Simon that someone collects the money in person then I’m happy for them to take reasonable expenses to cover their costs.

So over to you Simon, this is your opportunity to show people the kind of person you really are....

Dan

Ps – added a poll to the thread for a bit of fun!

Feel sorry for you mate l truly do,

I am suprised nobody has visited Simon and given him a slap for his behaviour to be honest.

It is a very noble gesture to donate half to Biglees cause.

Your right, Simon is a very clever and talented individual.....

In person on a one to one basis he is a very pleasant and enjoyable chap to talk you.

However, as soon as it concerns money, business or general moral being he seems to become a person of fiction and fantasy.

I still today cannot understand why he is not the owner of a business (which of course is run by anyone but him ) which on one hand designs and supplys off the shelf electronic gadgets to the custom automotive market and on the other designs one off electronic gizmos for individuals/companies. Man should be earning a stack of cash while combining his love of electronics and cars.....!

If he owes you that amount of money; over a thousand quid, for what conceivable reason have you not issued a court summons?

If it werre £20 or £30 I could understand you saying "not worth your time or the bother" ... but over a thousand pounds and the best part of five years? WTF?

Considering how bitter you (rightfully) are, I really can't understand the lack of litigation

This thread is not for discussing the in's and out's of the matter - that has been discussed between myself and Simon on and off over the last few years.

This thread is about getting Simon to hand the money over so some good causes can benefit in return.

It will also give him an opportunity to show the world (well the PF/Ford community) the sort of person he really is. The ball is in his court and to be honest I will be gobsmacked if he pays, but only time will tell and hopefully I will get proved wrong!

Dan

Brilliant gesture, could well be the making of him as you say. But he's just a polished turd from what I've seen and a barefaced sellout. Will grind even his piss poor morality with excuses here...

Eh, nice gesture?? Not really as i very much doubt this guy will ever pay up, i mean if he hasn't already its unlikly this is gonna make him think twice..... therefore no money will be sent to Biglee or a charity.
Bit of a pointless thread imo.
