This thread is not about discussing that hence I’m not going to take any time going into it unless I feel there is a real need to.
There are a few replies on here like that etc....
The question is what do you do if someone owes you money where there is no real legal avenue to retrieve it? Options are:
1. Ask them and rely on their morals to do the right thing.
2. Personally attack them verbally and/or physically.
3. Get somebody else to attack them verbally and/or physically.
Getting into a world of trouble over a person like Simon over such a small amount of money is simply not an option for me. There are plenty of situations that I would happily risk doing time for but this is just not one of them!
So that leaves me the option of just asking him for it and relying on his Morals. Unfortunately when you’re dealing with an individual who has none, you’re pretty much fucked. Hence the reason why I wrote this money off a long time ago. However, I don’t see a problem in trying to give him an incentive to do the right thing which in turn will help some good causes and give him the opportunity to show people he can do the right thing sometimes.
Anyway, I do have an update.......
Simon did send me a PM a couple of days ago. He is aware of this thread but has decided not to actually open it and read it. This seemed a little odd to me but maybe he is scared of the internet!
In short I had the same standard lines I have seen many times before:
“I cannot afford to pay you”
“When I have sold X I will pay you back with interest”
Anyway, please don’t reply slagging Simon off as that’s not really the point of the thread. Hopefully he will read my reply to his PM and change his mind.....let’s keep this positive!

what i meant by my comment is that i have one of his ECU's, that i have not paid for in full, this is because simon never finished mapping my car and i have not seen him since.
i have offered to pay on several occasions when i needed help trying to get the 3dr running on the S8, but he did not want to help me, or take my money.
i have since bought a DTA ECU and offered to give him back the S8 and he can keep whatever monies i have given.
but he did not reply to that either...

youve taken 1 too many happy pills my man.
i have had money owed to me was only £200, gave him long enough so just knocked on his door took his car keys and car and said he could have it back when he payed me. i know he could of phoned the police but i think he realised what the consequences of that would be.
i didnt have to hurt him, i didnt need to but these people need to realise you are not going to put up with it or they will just take the piss.
its not the money its the principle imo.

He knows he can't claw back any credibility, people already think the pits of him and as long as he can keep his head down he won't pay a penny. Pretty shameful stuff
I'd say get it back in installments for your cause or Big Lee's but he'd blatantly pay 100 quid or something token then go quiet for another year...

Just by knocking on this blokes door is all that is needed surely? If you are a wimp take a few people with you and do it. Then get inside the house and take to the value of the debt in goods/family/pets etc. He owes you money then surely its legal to take goods if he lets you in?

Its only legal after a court says you can take goods to the value of, unless the debt was exlicitly secured against his goods.

A quick reply to a few....
There is no legal grounding for me to go to any court to try and get this money back.
Going to Simon's house and doing any of following:
1. Verbal Abuse.
2. Physical Abuse.
3. Entering his property without consent.
4. Kicking his door in.
5. Not leaving his premises when requested.
6. Taking any of his property.
7. Etc.
Will most likely resort in the police being called and a good chance I will arrested and charged with something.
This is the real world, not some film on the TV. Paying someone a 'visit' will in most cases end up with the law involved and a start a world of shite.
So no, I'm not a wimp and I don't need any 'mates' to help me. I'm just not that fooking stupid, especially for such a small amount of money...

He runs to the Mods over stern comments fuck knows he'd cry to the police over ANYTHING, agree it's not worth the reprocussions with a chump like that.
Must be mentally hard keeping your cool even if £1200 is a fair loss in your eyes.

Why not just go through the small claims process? Easy and gets results, and you get all costs from the other side. Don't even have to leave your house, just use moneyclaim online.

There were no formal contracts/agreements etc...all done on trust!
It would be one persons word against another, no hard facts plus it's probably exceeded a time limit to start any kind of legal claim.
I wrote this money off a long time ago....
This thread is a shot in the dark to get the money back for some good causes.
If he paid it back now, I would currently ask that the other half was given to the Haiti disaster fund.
The mans a fool, this would be the perfect opportunity for him to show people himself in a different light!
