bleeding brakes - citroen dispatch?
so after all the fucking about last night taking the van back to ATS, then getting the missus to take me to citroen to get the hire van this morning...
i gets a phonecall this arvo from my office...
ATS have said its all fine and ok, so not doing anything else to it...
righto, then she says, so its been recovered by the AA again and taken back to citroen... im like WTF! what now
sh said, if citroen replcae the pads (which i know they are going to do) then all payments to ATS will be cancelled
tbh im fucking fed up of it all, i do however like the VW caddy van ive got, 2.0 tdi 104.

collected my van earlier from citroen, its finally done.
they have replaced the discs and pads for genuine citroen ones...
apparently, with the pads that were fitted, when you braked it pushed the pads to the disc, then when you let off they moving away too far when they should stay close. hence when you pumped the pedal it kind of worked.
now as soon as you touch the pedal, it brakes..
fucking joy!!
only cost about 2k to geft sorted ffs...
they have replaced the discs and pads for genuine citroen ones...

it sound like someone fitted the wrong pads's,
yes, it sounded like ats fitted the wrong pads, and subsequently couldnt get a decent pedal, cos the fuckers were retracting too far...
i dont think i will be using them again!

so. just to confirm.....

1x calliper
2x brake lines
2 x master cylinders
1xvac pump replaced or checked
4 x brake discs
2 x sets of brake pads
45 DAYS off the road.
just because they didnt realise the brake pads were not quite the right ones???
