hello well ive been savinga while now and have got £2000 for my first rs i want a series 2 escort rs turbo been looking on here ebay and pistonheads cant really find anything so is anybody selling one or know any let me know please cheeRS people

hi mate,my advice to you is save abit more and buy a decent one,two grand wont buy you much and youll end up spending aload on one for 2000

hello mate how much would you say for a decent one its going to be my everyday car as i cant afford to run 2 cheers?

id budget at 3500 for a good useable s2, ive used several as daily drivers, but id o have lots of spares lol

Bought mine for £600, spent about £2000 on welding materials and new engine. Id rather do it that way cos at least i know my car is 100% solid and the engine has only got a few thousand on the clock.

think ive just bort one 2nite lol it came in for mot but failed on a rotten rear end and other little bits its done 130k with lots of history so i offered him a grand to be cheekey and he took it lol. but then i do work in a garage with a fabricator lol so the rot ect i can sort my self

i was thinking about doing it that way aswell mate but i cant find any cheap ones either so any help would be appreciated

Not a 5 minute job finding a good one cheap but they do come up every now and then. Try and look at as many as you can, you'll soon get the idea of what you can get for the money.

There is a nice 88 spec, mercury grey one on the west of scotland rsoc site for 2300.

good ones can be had for cheap,but they are far easy to come by as everyone knows what they are worth,save abit more bud and have a look around do not buy the first you see

i agree with what most people are saying. i bought a cabbie rs about a year ago for a grand and honestly what awaste of money. i bought it without researching or looking around and it was the first one i viewed. in the first month i had to get a replacemnt cam, the bottom end shells needed done the fuel metering unit went the fuel pump relay was very peed off but hey it was a learning curve

Mine is up for 2850 on pistonheads, its a good clean one with no rot in the normal areas, i have spent alot of time and money on it, its rosso red f reg 1989 with lots of history tax 4/5 months, mot till may 2010 109,000 miles, just had cambelt, tensioner, oil&filter change,koni adjustables, 35mm pi springs, powerflex tca's, strut tops, anti-roll bar, tarox drilled/grooved discs, braided hoses, new tca's, bayjoo chip, pace cooler, k&n, 4" magnex, mint 88 spec recaros, and much more if interested pm me mate
