I can't imagine that after paying for insurance, stock, a vehicle, fuel and day to day costs there would be any money left in it for a Cadbury's Creme Egg.
The money is in 'detailing' where you polish a brand new car to remove 3 swirls out of it then charge £1200 + VAT.
So give that a shot

i do mobile valeting and theres money in it once you get your name about, this time of year its more washes and less valets but you target companies where you do multiple cars in the one place so 5 or 6 mini valets at £20-£25 a time, there is money to be made but is hard work and hard to get established, iv just come back from doing a Aston martin Vantage Roadster, Lovely car.

tingle my mate owns a valeting buisness and a car wash and its shit at the mo,the poles have nicked his work and live on the premises so can save loads plus they rent out to other poles. he charges 4 quid for a hot hand wash and a buisness valet for regular customers is a tenner thats a wash, shammy, hoover, windows, dash shined up and tyres dressed allloys scrubbed.
also the poles have 4 men on the job and he can only afford 1 so first sign of a q and everyone goes the poles,he prefers the mobile stuff but at the mo thats shit too.
as rick astley says valeting isn't great at the mo but call it detailing and ponce around with a buffer and a measuring tool for the paint depth and 175 sovs here we come.

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Have a really good think about it, check your mobile competition aswell as polish snowfoam ex fourcourt washes etc etc
I have just packed in after 3 years, was doing brilliant and had good custom from monthly regulars, traders and the general stuff to strange request customers aswell ........... BUT the good old credit crunch fucked me bigtime
I started off with a transit smiley w reg, built up and bought a minter of a newer shape T300 all proffesionaly sign written etc etc, credit crunch kicked in and it was like a serious kick in the balls as folk stopped spending straight away and regulars cut back aswell as the traders were doing it themselves to save them money, So i sold my big tranny within 2 days and bought a tidy RS bodykitted escort van from my mate and have just recently sold that as its really turned into a waste of time just now.
I still get the odd phone call, chap at the door etc etc and keep the hand in with a cash job here and there, still do trade interior shampoos for a mates garage in return for him doing spanner work for me.
I do live in the sticks though which makes a big difference to the big smoke towns down south.
Give it a try, you have 3 months before you need to tell the taxman anyway that your in business lol
