What are the best driving roads in the UK?
I'm guessing we don't have anything near as grand as the Stelvio Pass or Transfagarasan..

Might not look much on there but...
Llangollen - Ruithin (horse-shoe pass and Nant y Garth Pass) - has some good flowing twisty sections
Huddersfield A62 - not massively exiting but good for getting some speed down with spectacular views!
Braughing to Bishop's Stortford - a little sprint I used to do in the 1.1 205!
Stortford to Chelmsford (A1060) - boring in traffic but at 2am I could do this road in 14 mins in a 1.6 focus

Nearly all the best driving roads in the UK arent in england IMHO
There are some fantastic roads in wales, and presumably in scotland, in england even the great roads like snake pass are just far too fucking busy with other cars for you to ever really enjoy.
The key element of a great driving road is having no one else on it driving along slowly spoiling it for me IMHO

Theres a few good roads between Barry and Bridgend
Either through Llandow or through Wick
Edit
I forgot about the mountain road from the Rhonnda valleys to Ogmore valleys! Over the Baulk i think its called.
A mate took me over it a good few years ago in his std 1.9 205 gti and scared the shit out of me
