Whifbitz in crews hill, Enfield is where you wanna go mate, they consider themselves Supra guys.
You will see 400bhp so easily and its mega reliable.
If you like big 2 seaters, very good usable power and rwd, you cannot go wrong.

Im looking forward to getting it after all this talk lol.
I will have more fun de chaving it though. Where can i find a standard front bumper?

Very good cars, like them a lot!! One of the best looking affordable (ie - under 10k) sporty cars out there. As you say lose the big front bumper (ebay it and you'll get more than you think i reckon!!!). With resale I think hte UK spec ones command more money but if you're paying peanuts then thats irrelevant. My ex had a Supra and I seem to remember that standard parts arent cheap (being Toyota) and it was very juicy. Lovely sounding engines though and great to drive, although quite bulky.

Most UK models will be auto and they command a good few grand more being of a much better spec. I know when i was looking for one, the Uk models were the first to be snapped up and almost every import that i phoned was still avaibale so i wouldnt base the price purely on those advertised at the moment mate. As said, they vary so much in price for similar cars. Problem with imports is that theres shit loads available and people advertise them for the a similar price as the UK models which is one of the main reasons why they struggle to shift them in my opinion.

well im seeing uk ones and imports around 9k as you say.
If i dont like it im going to put it 2k under that so i dont see having a problem.
Everyone ive spoken too wants a manual.
Its not the fact that its auto that makes them more money its the fact that they are uk. Autos are just not wanted by anyone as far as i can see. There are far less manual ones around for sale where ive looked.
Anyway should be good its something ive never had before and i like bringing cars back from the people that ruin them, Cant go wrong for that money. Ive spoke to trader friend of mine and they dont even come off the boat at that money so i cant go wrong.

I like the Supra, but a lot of the "wow factor" has been taken away from them in the past couple of years.
I think I see it a bit like Fuzzy does. He says the Supra has had it's day, and whilst I don't quite agree, I definitely see what he's saying.
From when the MK4 Supra came out right up until just a few years ago really, there was very little that could touch it in it's price range in "all round" terms. Whereas now you've got a seemingly endless choice.
Still a good looking car IMO, some of the interior features do look very dated now, typically early '90s Jap. Although the way the dash swoops round is very cool in itself still IMO.
Also, whilst it has the big power (or potential for at least), it doesn't feel the amazing to drive compared to other cars. As has already been said it's definitely no lightweight, and does feel a little too "GT-ish".
As much as I like them, it's hard to justify buying one over a decent Scooby or Evo now for performance or driving experience.

After all this messing about he cant find the logbbok, And even though he is my cousin I trust him about as far as i could throw him.
So until he finds the logbook i wont be buying, Could be a blessing in disguise as im very interested in a paticular 3 door on here.

If you're getting it at this stupidly low price and everyone's selling them for at least 2k more how come your cousin is lettin it go to you so cheap? Is he a bit thick or has he never looked in auto trader?

Can not believe no one has posted this yet.
Very good vid of a Supra and Escort Cossie (similar power 450bhp IIRC)going at it on roads.
Supra looks pretty good in comparison

no its because he is rediculously stupid, There is no problem with the car, the head was rebuilt under 5k ago and the car has 15k in receipts.
However he is desperate for money and wants rid quick as he has chavved it up so much that normal people cant see past that.
ive seen it ben in it and would buy it strieght away if he had the logbook.
However he reckons his mum has lost it so we have no deal at the moment.
If the 3 door comes off then i might buy this aswell but i just dont trust him without the log book.
hes the lost of boy that would regret it and try and report it stolen or something.

Great cars, but feel very big, and a lot less nimble than a Saph. The UK ones feel a lot quicker than imports as standard, but with a bit of fettling you've got a very fast car. Don't fear the auto box, as it kinda suits the nature of the car.

I like the supra and would have one over a sapphire on looks alone any day. I dont know what they are like to live with everyday though, MPG may be a bit crap but its a big 6 Cyl Turbo so, easy power. If the skyline GTS-t I drove is anything to go by a big jap car with a 6cyl is brilliant!
