You must have been unlucky as I dropped my old one on concrete a few times and nothing happened to it. My mrs dropped hers in the bath and I stuck it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days and it came back to life (and has been fine for months)

I have dropped mine hard a few times and its still in one piece!

But my mate caught his on a worktop corner and smashed the screen. Also dropped it in water and it was dead, so he is on his third phone

Ran - they really don't like water at all. Sorry dude!

Literally dropped in and grabbed back out.

Hope yours survives!

i think there extreamly robust really, i've dropped mine 50+ times and owned it for over a year now (3G one) and its never broken the screen, only a few scuffs.

very happy.

unless something new comes out that will rival the iphone in the next few months i'll just stick with the iphone, its that good i think.

does everything you ask of it.

Same here Ryan had mine since July 2008. Think ill upgrade to 3gs when the time comes.

Worst ive done is crack the back part of the case from where the charger goes in about an inch up.

And one scratch on the screen.
