hi

right last night i brought a focus with a black top turbo and alot of trick bits. not going into it or what is on it as this isnt a forsale thread so dont even ask here as i just want advice.

if i were to decide to break it (one option) rather than play with it and have it as a run about i would obviously be left with a focus shell, minus the brakes suspension etc but apart from that, engine +ecu etc all intents a full shell with trim.

Would you put it back to std and then have that as a run round or would you completely strip it and sell the shell as a bare shell (poss with closures) as i know they are very handy for focos's but what would one be worth as there is no point going to all the hassel to find its worth penuts and would have been better having a bit of outlay and having a complete car to run or sell on.

Only prob being is that i am poss losing the use of the unit i have in 2 weeks as mate is havng to poss get out unless we can re-rent it.

havent got the room at my house either at the min as a mate has just moved and got his track astra in my garage and need to getthe fiesta back from jamsport soon, plus im going to be moving after xmas so its all abit up in the air at the min... god ive got to stop buying random stuff!!!

so serious question of what would you lot do?

yeah if it were a 5 door the stripping and seling the shell wouldnt of ben considered really as i doubt people would want a 5door focos

 

all being well im getting a shell next year . iv all ready spoke to a brackers yard by me and they have told me i can have a Cat C 3dr shell with log book with doors bonnit tail gate for Ł150 . and all so a good mate of mine JUMBO bort a 3dr 1.4 with MOT and TAX for for Ł750

 

il buy it after shell an panels to convert to rwd got the readys waiting an a trailer

 

XRSI, is yours the red zetec fiesta? if so its well under way now, engine looks good sat in there

 

Shame you might be loosing the work space, cos it would be different it you could convert to rwd and use the Blacktop turbo'd engine. remember seeing a vid on here of a white 3 door that was running rwd zetec turbo, went like shit off a greased shovel!

 

red mk3 fiesta, mk5 rear end, cage etc having my zetec turbo and mtx box fitted.
