yeah mine has mechanical speedo so will try the disconnect engine end to sort them bulbs
was looking at hinges today and the top hinge where it bolts inside the door has two 10mm studs with nuts was wondering if i loosen them it would give me some adjustment i only need to move it a couple of mm its not that far out, with the door closed its the top left corner that needs to come down.
need to remove scuttle panel to run boost guage piping so will give it a clean up then and check the drain holes too

dash bulbs defeated me again
tried disconnecting the speedo cable inside the enginebay but it still did not give me enough freeplay to get the dash out and also still not enough room to disconnect the cable from the back of the cluster

We changed the engine in the ZX, upped the boost and fuel and the turbo sucked up a microfibre that was left in the engine bay while booting it about lol classic cleaned the turbo out and it now seems to spin backwards and boost at -4psi lmfao.
Thats not all though when we first put it back together as soon as the turbo came on boost it ran up on itself lol scary as fuck turned out oil was going where it shouldnt lol

Can I join your club? Currently smoking around in a 218D Rover which is the same engine as the 306D apparently, my friend who tuned his 306 has done my boost/pump/boost compo for me, also running a cone style filter and boost gauge....goes well for a daily!
Bought it off a guy from eBay nearly 6months ago, it gets hurt every single day, its run on different fuels dependant on whats available and in 10k its never been serviced

i used to have the estate it was great for lift off oversteer lol! as for dash bulbs as said you can disconnect speedo drive under bonnet and then pull the clocks through for access, if you have a wobbly speedo needle put a blob of grease where the cable pushes into the clocks as this sorts it out.
tho most of the ones ive had in at work when we were citroen agents with knackered dash lights were cured with a few firm smacks to the top of the dash board and they came back on lol!
