Fiesta rs turbo intercooler
Whats a standard intercooler good for? any pic,s would help.
Bought a fest rs for a bit of fun running a hybrid t3 & alot more mods, has been pushing 210bhp all work by powerengineering but the intercooler looks small to me.
What sort of cooler for around 200+bhp
Cheers Rich..

The standard ones are gash, if there is a boost increase then I've always believed that they need uprated but aren't I right thinking the Pace Product replacements for RS Turbos are pretty gash... sure they did a mag feature on them and the ACTs weren't actually massively different to stock.
I'd get a Pro Alloy or GRS unit on there since they get decent reviews and are well made.
Cheers,
Grant

Hi doug<< it must have a uprated one cos been pushing over 200bhp, its got omex management, cosworth injectors etc etc got all the bills to go with it, bought it dead cheap from by me .It cost over a grand just for the omex & mapping of the car.
Just been run in after a full bottom rebuild, so psi has been lowered now to crank it up!!!!
Hows the old girl doing m8, & how was your hol,s??

Dont no what boost she was running for the 200+bhp, its running lower boost at the mo cos of the running in of the engine.Have no graph but got well over 2k in bills from powereng just for the mapping & equipment, but no intercooler bill, so going to give them a bell tomorw to see what psi it was doing when they mapped it
The boy i bought it off,s stepdad built the car & spent over 4k on her. Also has a stage 3head & piper cam
Can't wait to see how good it is when set up compared to my Escos should be nippy for such a small car.

I would be surprised if its running that much power on a standard intercooler!
I always thought the limit of the standard intercooler was 160/170bhp and 10psi.
But I may be wrong.
That is defiantly a 200bhp+ spec though, depending on the boost.

Dont no what boost when running the 200+, its lower at the mo cos of the running in of the new engine rebuild.Going to give powereng ring tomrw as they did the work on it a few years back which cost over 3k with the omex & hybrid turbo & the stage 3 head
I now it was running 200+bhp as the guy who spent the cash on it a few years back did some work on my first 3door cossie & had the car in his barn, & said that it had cost him over 4k. Then sold it to a young lad for around 5k & the lad bolloxed the fuck out of it everywere & let the oil run low & fucked the bottom end on it, so it was sold back to the guys son & rebuilt again with new parts about 2years back & has just done about 4kmiles now with slow driveing by his son who iv just bought it off .
The car had no mot Or tax & needed A servi,, state cheap price.
& now is all done past mot no problem.
Sorry to rabble on , to many beers.
Cheers Rich
