Default They shall not grow old ...........

They shall not grow old as we who are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them...

It brings a lump to my throat of pride when I see the veterans looking so proud with their medals.

Every Man, Woman & child in this country owe a debt of gratitude to those who have layed down thier lives defending our freedom........

Regardless of peoples view on the reasons behind our recent & current involvements abroad we should all wear a Poppy with pride.

Do you know the one thing that really pisses me off about all this? The fact that the school where my gf's kids go haven't even mentioned the subject of Rememberance day at all, we asked the kids if they knew what tomorrow and the 11th meant, and they haven't got a clue. We asked if they'd been taught about it, they said no. We mentioned in passing to a teacher about the 2min silence, and got told they wouldn't be doing it, so as not to offend the other 'races' that attend the school. Sorry, but it really bugs me. I shouldn't think there's many true british people whose grandparents or ancestors haven't fought in one of the world wars, and the kids aren't being taught about it cos it may offend some people. Those men went to war and fought for our country, and laid their lives down, the very least the schools can do is show some gratitude and rememberance.
Sorry if I've ranted, I've had a few tonight and it really boils my piss to think that because it may offend some people, the school choose to not honour the memory of those that died.

your school needs a kick up the fucking backside!!

Muslims, jews, christians, gurkhas, indians, aussies, poles etc all died side by side in WWII.

Remembrance is not about race or religion but the fact people died.

Don't take this the wrong way, but if it's such a big deal to you, then why don't you teach your kids about it?

Shame no one pissed on him when he passed out, see how he likes it.
